Big hardware problems aside, Microsoft's Xbox 360 has the best line-up of games last year with Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect and much more. But that was last year. 2008 will be critical for the Xbox 360 as many are projecting the console to finish behind the
Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 in terms of worldwide hardware sales. Fortunately for Microsoft, their spring line-up is as strong as their competitors. Here are the top five Xbox 360 games of the spring.
5. Army of Two
Publisher: Electronic Arts, Developer: Electronic Arts, Release Date: March 4, ESRB Rating: M
Nothing is more fun than you and a friend playing cooperatively with each together. Electronic Arts took note and created Army of Two, a game built around the two player co-op phenomenon. Special team based moves coupled with a unique online multiplayer makes the game worth at least a rental. Just make sure you don't play Army of Two by yourself.
4. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Publisher: Ubisoft, Developer: Ubisoft, Release Date: March 18, ESRB Rating: M
The original Rainbow Six Vegas came out of nowhere to become one of the best multiplayer experiences on home consoles. It became so popular that the game was used for official competitive videogame events. Although the sequel has a lot to lived up to, it seems like the game will be on the right track with refined gameplay and new additions like experience points that will make the sequel superior. Don't be surprised when you see Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 being played in competitive events as well.
3. Condemned 2: Bloodshot
Publisher: Sega, Developer: Monolith Productions, Release Date: March 11, ESRB Rating: M
A launch title for the Xbox 360, Condemned: Criminal Origins was a surprise hit. Like other sequels, Condemned 2: Bloodshot had some added pressure. Fortunately, the game is looking like a winner with a more refined battle system that improves on the shooting aspects of the game. Not to mention that the melee combat is as deep as ever. With the great intensity and atmosphere of the first game returning, Condemned 2: Bloodshot is looking like the scariest game of the spring.
