I have observed thousands of couples over the many years, and I found that there were certain qualities that made for the best relationships. If you're lucky you have a one or two. If you are fortunate you have several. If you're relationship is truly blessed, you have them all. Let's explore the top 5 qualities that make for the very best relationships. No I didn't do an indepth research project, or poll. This is my personal and professional observations over the years, as well as the qualities I strive for in my relationships.

Respect For One Another-

I know you're saying of course you need to respect each other. Unfortunately, I have actually seen very few relationships where the couple truly respects each other. I have heard too many couples slinging snide remarks at each other, yelling obscenities, and downright disrespecting the other one's basic rights. Yes, true respect is treating the other, as you would want yourself to be treated, and never demeaning, or degrading the other under any circumstances. Yes, that means, no matter how mad you get. Couples that truly respect each other have a good start toward a great relationship.

Genuine Caring About The Other-

This would seemingly be a given in any relationship, right? Well, genuine caring means, always wanting the best for that other person, even if it means you may not get what you want. I find this one very rare in most relationships. It seems when it comes right down to it; most people put them selves and what they want first. If you truly care about the well being of another, you must always consider what's really important to them. This quality is as important as respect. You can spot a couple that genuinely cares about the other from a mile away.
