I can't look in your eyes
because I see so much.
The emotion breaks me
and I choke on my tears.
The "windows of your soul"
are closed to me
though they shine so bright
it's like staring at the sun.
Don't ask me to tell you
what YOU are feeling.
I don't even have a name
for my own emotions
so I can't imagine
what you call yours.
