The world seems to be completely indifferent to Ralph Nader's recent decision to run for president. I haven't heard one peep in the news about it since it happened. Of this I am glad. Perhaps you, like me, find it very curious that this old guy would enter the race when we already have two liberal candidates to love. Usually a tactic this unusual would be precipitated by a seeming lack of choice among the candidates - causing the white knight to rush in to save us from mediocrity. But everyone is excited about either Barack or Hillary, and we know that either would bring much awaited change from the Bush regime. So, I am curious as to why Mr. Nader felt it necessary to swoop in and potentially screw things up for us. Does the thought flash through anyone else's mind that the Republicans may have offered him a large sum of money to do so? I'm just saying... it all seems a bit odd and ill-timed. Here's the interesting part - HE KNOWS THAT BUSH GOT INTO OFFICE BECAUSE OF HIM. So, does he LIKE when Republicans screw up the country? Because he could be the catalyst behind the NEXT Republican administration. You would think that he would not want that. And yet here he is. I hope that his campaign continues to be but a speck of dust on the media radar. In fact, I think many people were probably incensed by his decision to run, and I think you will find him the center of a media black hole and a barrage of hate and indignation by people who see firsthand what has been done to the environment and our economy by our president and his cronies. Especially at this point, Ralph Nader CANNOT... I repeat, CANNOT become president of this nation. It is statistically impossible. The only thing he can do is ensure that our country and planet go bankrupt in the very near future.

Bush didn't get into office because of Nader. Gore WON the state, but mis-managed the recount by not asking for a complete recount, statewide. Bush got into office because the Supreme Court intervened. If you knew ANYTHING about Ralph Nader, you would realize how silly it sounds to theorize that he did something for money. Money has been one of the things Ralph has cared about LEAST over the years. I think his current bid is ill-advised and irrelevant, but he certainly isn't doing it because he secretly likes Republicans in power. He simply doesn't see much difference between corporate-bought Demicans and Republicrats -- neither do I. If you think things will change much with either Barack or Hillary, you should think again. Obama has a bit better chance, but Washington corrupts people very quickly. Hillary's already bought & paid for. Yes, it will be marginally better than more years of Bush, but don't expect immediate or significant change.
