Allison Allergic to Slop

In the evening of February 22, 2008, Allison suffered a severe allergic reaction to something she ate. She was running in the backyard and talking to Sharon when she felt her throat begin to close. She ran into the Diary Room and told producers that she needed an epipen because her throat was closing. The studio's nurse rushed into the Diary Room to inject her and the studio called for the ambulance.

At the same time, Amanda was suffering from a hypoglycemic spell when she fainted, then went into convulsions. The nurse left Allison laying in the Diary Room while she went to help Amanda.

When the paramedics arrived, they took both women to the emergency room. Both women were treated and released back into the Big Brother house that same night.

As Allison had never experienced an allergic reaction previously, she had no idea what caused her body to react that way. The doctor was supposed to come to the studio the next day to test her allergic reaction to the things she ate just prior to her episode.

Allison was not on slop for the week, but she tasted some from Alex's bowl. He added ingredients to it to make it taste better and Allison was testing it. Shelia believed it was the peanut that Allison ate from the POV Competition where they had barrels of peanuts to sort through to find the cables they needed to complete the circuit. Shelia thought this because a lot of people are allergic to peanuts, but Allison says that she has never had a problem with peanuts before.

The doctor finally came to the studio to test Allison seven days later, on February 29, 2008. Allison said they had to wait until all the medications were out of her system in order for the test to be accurate.

Allison finds out she is allergic to slop. She seems so upset about it, but she ought to be grateful as it means she cannot be forced to eat it if she makes it past this week of the competition.
