Where to Skydive in Louisiana
If jumping out of a perfectly good airplane over scenic Louisiana sounds like a good time for you, you're in luck. Louisiana offers three drop zones that are USPA (United States Parachute Association) group members. These Louisiana drop zones follow USPA Basic Safety requirements for both
novice and experienced skydivers and ensure that their first-jump courses are taught by current and experienced USPA-rated instructors.
Louisiana Sky Diving Location #1- Louisiana Airsports
Located 25 miles east of Lafayette at the LeMaire Memorial Airport, Louisiana Airsports is ideally located for those living in Southwest Louisiana. Louisiana Airsports offers tandem skydiving, as well as a course that will allow you to jump solo in just one day! Louisiana Airsports hours of operation are on Saturdays and Sundays, though during summer months they are sometimes open during the week by appointment only. To pay by credit or debit card, you will need to make your payment online via PayPal, as they only accept cash or checks at the dropzone. Gift certificates are also available. Located 20 miles north of Shreveport at the Gilliam Airport, Skydive Louisiana is the place to go for those living in Northern Louisiana. Skydive Louisiana offers tandem skydiving, as well as student training through AFF (Advanced Free Fall) courses. Skydive Louisiana also offers Demo jumps, if you are interested in having experienced and licensed skydivers drop into an event such as football games, benefits, etc. If you prefer staying in the plane and watching a companion make their leap, Skydive Louisiana offers observer rides for you to enjoy the show from the comfort of the airplane.
