I was recently doing some grocery shopping in my local grocery store, when I came across Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes in the canned vegetable section. I love sweet potatoes and decided to try this product. Here is what I discovered!

Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes are in a fifteen and one half ounce can. There are three and one half servings in each can and I liked that fact about this product. I bought this product at Harvey's Grocery Store and the price of this product varies but, I can usually buy one can for around one dollar and fifty cents. That is a pretty good deal. I would put this product in the one to two dollar range, since it may or may not be on sale. For the amount of sweet potatoes that I get, I think that this is a bargain.

Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes are also considered to be sauced yam cuts, according to the product label. The label of this product also states that Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes are America's leading sweet potato! This product is very rich in Vitamin A. This product consists of sweet potatoes, corn syrup, sugar, water, brown sugar, food starch-modified, spice and vanilla.

I found the preparation of Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes to be very easy. You can microwave these sweet potatoes or cook them on the stovetop. I chose to microwave them and it only took a few minutes, in a covered microwave-safe dish. You can drain the juice from these sweet potatoes or not. The juice is pretty flavorful. If you cook this item on the stovetop, it is recommended to leave the juice in and bring to a boil, then drain, if desired. The microwave method of cooking worked fantastic, for me, with this product.

Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes taste wonderful! They are very good, considering this is a canned product. These sweet potatoes are tender and have no grainy or stringy texture! I like adding butter and cinnamon sugar to these sweet potatoes. It really compliments this product and makes these sweet potatoes very tasty. I loved this product and was very pleased with my purchase. I agree with this company's claim that they are America's leading sweet potato.

Takeaways
  • This product is cholesterol free!
  • This product provided me with thirty percent of my daily vitamin C requirement.
  • Royal Prince Candied Sweet Potatoes can be used in recipes.

Not a fan of sweet potatoes, regardless of how they're fixed. But this was a well-done review anyway!
