Destin restaurants have this New Orleans Classic at the Royal B. Growing up in New Orleans, I remember vividly my great aunt taking that turtle by his tail and throwing him into this big kitchen basin getting ready to make her turtle soup. Of course she called it cow an (pronounced COW-wan like tan). I guess that is why it took me along time to enjoy eating turtle soup because of the memory of that poor cow a being prepared fro the big pot. I don't know how her soup tasted but by the way everyone practically inhaled it, it must have been pretty tasty. I do know the turtle soup at Royal B Destin restaurant is outstanding.

I probably didn't taste turtle soup until I was over forty but now I look forward to someone making a good turtle soup and the Destin Royal B restaurant is one of the best I have ever tasted.
