Darkness and Light

If you have never gone through any trial,
the word "sorrow" may not catch your mind.
Yet, my heart beats with bitterness whenever I hear this word.
"Sorrow" had shown me his ugly face when I was only four.
The constant beating of my aunt and father;
The teasing and unkind words of my brother;
The betrayal and insult of my best friend;
The sickness had tortured me all year long;
And the fear of death had buried my joyful song.
How much tears and painful cries,
How many cold and sleepless nights,
I wonder when I could see the sunlight? ...
Until that day a person told me that God is love and He is kind.
And then I took the key of forgiveness to unlock my tormenting mind.
I stepped out from the darkness and touched the light.
Now, how beautiful is the new chapter of my life!
And I will stay forever under the warmth of His sunshine!
