There are a lot of really steamed eBay store owners and auctioneers right now. The most recent update to the terms of use for eBay came as a claim of eliminating fees. At the very best this was a partial truth. While all listings do get a free gallery picture now, and all listings are about a nickel to 80 cents cheaper, depending on the starting value of the auction bid, eBay jacked up their final value fee another 3-5%, which may make things cheaper up front, but at a 12% cut, versus 6 from a few years ago, is eBay getting too expensive?

Needless to say, the big angry vein in many people's foreheads are throbbing, but the last straw might be that sellers are not allowed to leave feedback anymore-only buyers are. So if a guy buys from your auction, flakes out as leaves you negative feedback then there's nothing you can do about it. There are many online auction websites, but now that there's a potentially large group of people looking to shift to another auction site, which quality auction websites are likely to benefit.

Here is a list of ten of the best auction websites aside from eBay:

#1 Overstock.com: This is probably the best known of the non eBay auction sites. This site is the strongest competitor to eBay, and has much better prices on inserting extra pictures. While there are fees to use this site, they are much lower than eBay's, and the percentage of the final value fee starts at a much lower 3%. With eBay fees going up again, it's not hard to imagine Overstock being the best beneficiary, and they already had over 300,000 items up for auction at any given time.

#2 uBid.com: Good for the United States only, but they have warehouses from which they can ship their goods, and although the 12.5% final value fee is around the same level as eBay's, there are no fees at all for inserting an auction listing, which still makes this far cheaper than the leading site.

Did You Know?
The inability of sellers to leave feedback seems to have upset them even more than the hidden fee hike.

I cam across a new site www.gobiddin.com. Not alot on there yet but there are no insertion fees and with 5% and below final sale fees could be something worth looking at.
