Starting a business that you can build is very simple. Most people think the opposite is true. So many questions. Can I do it? Do I have the finances to start? What will people think? Where do I get support? Where do I start? How do you like what you are presently doing? Are you tired of working for someone else? Is the stress too much? Are the fellow employees always complaining? And the questions go on and on.

The most important thing that you need to know is your WHY. Figure out your WHY. What would make you build a business. What is that special something?

The business type, product, or process doesn't matter. What really matters is your WHY. Is your WHY to get out of your present job? Great. Or maybe it is to become financially independent. Also great. Maybe it is to retire early. Like at the age of 30. Maybe your WHY is to completely support a charity. Maybe travel the world. It's all in your hands. It's a personal emotion.

If a good friend called you up and asked you to help him with a project he was doing. What would you say? The first thing out of your mouth will probably be, "What is it?"

Now think. What is your WHY? If he said that he had a project that would take a couple of days to complete and pays you a million dollars when it is finished would the question still be, "What is it?" Or would it be, "When do we start?"

So you meet your friend at 6:00 AM the next morning to help with the project. He takes you to a farm. Way out in the middle of now where. Either you're wondering, "What do I have to do?" Or you're thinking, "Boy this is going to be great. I am going to be able to retire now."

So what is it? What does your friend want you to help do? He takes you into the barn and points to a pit four feet wide by two feet deep by eight feet long full of a brown smelly gunk. Oh my God. It's chicken manure. He tells you that as soon as the pit is cleaned you will get the million dollars.

Now you have a choice. How bad do you want that thing that you want? That WHY. Are you going to jump in and start shoveling. Or are you a real true blue entrepreneur and use your head before acting.
