Tuscan kitchen makeovers do not have to cost a fortune, no matter how expensive they look. Tuscan kitchen makeovers can be fun quick projects that transform the look of your kitchen in subtle and not so subtle ways!

Here are three easy ideas for Tuscan Kitchen Makeovers for $35 or less:

Budget Tuscan Kitchen Makeover #1: Tuscan Curtains

You can make your own quick and easy Tuscan kitchen curtains for less than $10 and even with out a sewing machine if you insist. Look for cheesecloth at your local fabric store. It is a gauzy white fabric.

Now, fill your sink with tea. Yes, tea. Ok, coffee works as well. You can brew a pot of tea or coffee, pour it in the sink. You will need a few inches of this. A bucket will also work.

Place the gauzy white fabric down in the tea bath. Let it soak until it turns the rustic aged color you wish. Rinse out in the sink and then wash. It will lighten a little, so you may want to let it soak until a little darker than you like.

Now, measure how tall your windows are and how wide. The Tuscan look is best with two curtain panels that fit right inside each window. Hem the needs on side and on the other fold it over to make a pocket for your curtain!

Use no sews fusible webs and tape if you do not want to sew!

Budget Tuscan Kitchen Makeover #2: Painted Hardware

Ok, I can never say enough about painted hardware. For some reason people never want to do it. Seriously though, if you simply hate your hardware and want to throw it away anyway, then try this! You will not be sorry.

Clean your hardware thoroughly. Spray one coat of primer. Now, paint out in a hammered metal finish. My favorite Tuscan kitchen hardware paint color is a rusted out faux treatment. You can find faux rust kits at the home improvement store.

Budget Tuscan Kitchen Makeover #3: Pottery/ Terra Cotta

Finally, if you rent and really want that Tuscan look, then simply add some terra cotta pots to the kitchen! They are warm, rustic, and totally Tuscan. You can use them in so many ways.

First, did you know you could actually bake in terra cotta. I just thought I would throw that in thee for you. You will want a clean low pot, line it with foil, then bake like a casserole!
