We have always used wrapping paper to wrap our gifts, but it is not very green or eco-friendly. There are so many inventive ways to "wrap" a gift without using wasteful paper. Not only are paper-free wrapping alternatives for gifts eco-friendly and green; they are more practical and a lot more fun! Try these green wrappings to save the environment and add a new element of fun to your gifts.

Green & Eco-friendly Wrapping Alternatives for Men/Women's Gifts:

The new Eco-friendly, green grocery bags can be found almost anywhere now. You could fill one of those bags with grocery store necessities like a calculator, a coupon organizer, more bags and a nice book on becoming more green or saving money at the grocery store.

A laundry basket filled with gifts cuts out the need for paper wrapping making it Eco-friendly and green. You could fill a basket with laundry supplies, gift clothing all rolled up nicely for presentation, a collection of towels or anything on the recipient's list. Don't use plastic wrapping for the top, just leave the basket open.

Another cute, Eco-friendly or green gift would be a car washing kit. Take a bucket from a dollar store and fill it with towels, scrubbers and Eco-friendly car cleaners for the auto lover.

A wash bucket can be purchased at most dollar stores and filled with all Eco-friendly, green cleaners. My friend Irene wrote an article on a less expensive green cleaner that you might like called Green Works Vs. Seventh Generation. Click on the title to read her comparison of 2 popular brands. Whatever brand you decide, fill the bucket with the cleaners, maybe sponges, scrubbers, or anything cleaning related. There is no need for paper or plastic wrappings. Keep it Eco-friendly and green.

A fun way to give a very green gift would be to assemble a whole collection of green products from cleaners, to energy saving light bulbs to grocery bags and put them altogether in a basket or box. You could make a sign that read "IT IS EASY BEING GREEN". The gift recipient would be thrilled to be stocked up on Eco-friendly green products especially since they tend to cost a little more.

Giving women what they use everyday like face, hair and body products usually prove to be a wonderful gift. There is no need to wrap these items when you can place them in a paper free basket and... Viola!

Look @ Irene with her head in the gutter there!! LOL... ROFL!! isn't she the best??!! This was a very well written informative article. I gotta say I'm a bit intimidated about going green.... not that I don't think it's good... I just feel like it might be more than my modern lifestyle could handle!! Thanx for trying to give me a push! Lyn
