Gynecologist Left Something Behind

This article is more of a cry for help than anything else. Throughout the year I had had several health related problems but had no idea what was causing them. I assumed it was my birth control that the doctor had put me on and had read that women's hormones change a lot in their later twenties. My husband and I soon found out that I was the victim of a perverted gynecologist. My husband had been complaining for a long time that he was "hitting something inside". I blew if off cause obviously I would know if I left a tampon in there. Well one night after he refused to continue without my feeling it, I took the plunge. I was astonished as I felt a round object that felt like the casing to a tampon. Knowing that this was in there I became completely obsessed with getting it out. I laid on my back for what felt like eternity trying to get a hold of it. I could tell the sides were smooth and it was shorter than a tampon casing. At this point I became very upset. I flipped over onto my hands and knees thinking about the way our bodies are shaped and that gravity would help me. Sure enough after ten minutes of this I pulled out what appeared to be a blue chapstick lid but with a hole in the top. At this point in time I regretted that I had not gone to the ER that night.
The next day I went to the ER and when they asked why I was there I responded that I had found "this" inside. The receptionist looked at me in bewilderment and then asked me to repeat what I had said. The ER doctor ran a lot of tests to make sure I was physically alright and that the cap hadn't done any damage. I was diagnosed with a chronic bacterial vaginosis infection. The ER put me on a double dose of antibiotics and told me I should follow up with a new gynecologist to ensure the infection was gone. I scheduled an appointment with my new gynecologist and one with the old gynecologist.
