Guide to WWE Superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin's Wrestlemania Matches

Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most popular WWE wrestlers of all time and during his time in the WWE he has made several memorable appearances during their biggest event, Wrestlemania. Some of Stone Cold Steve Austin's greatest matches were at this event and it helped propel him to the top of the WWE. Here is a look at all of Stone Cold Steve Austin's Wrestlemania matches.

Wrestlemania XII: On a card that was highlighted by an unforgettable Iron Man match between Shawn Michaels and Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin made his own impact during a match against Savio Vega. These two had been feuding for some time and under Ted Debease's managing skills, Austin had been very successful in defeating Vega. He did the same thing in his Wrestlemania debut, when he nailed him with the Million Dollar Belt and actually made him pass out due to the Million dollar Dream sleeper hold. This was an impressive debut that would only get better as time went on.

Wrestlemania XIII: One year later and Steve Austin was now transformed into the Stone Cold persona that everyone would grow into and love. Austin was a bad guy coming into the Wrestlemania, but after a long and brutal submission match against Bret Hart, he would emerge as the crowd favorite. Hart would bloody Stone Cold, but even with his sharpshooter applied, Austin would not give up during the match. Guest Referee Ken Shamrock eventually called for the bell when Austin was laying unresponsive on the mat.

Wrestlemania XIV: After winning the 1998 Royal Rumble, Austin would go to Wrestlemania looking to win the WWE Title against Shawn Michaels. Mike Tyson was the special enforcer who stood outside of the ring and Austin had all of the odds against him in this encounter. He eventually nailed Shawn Michaels with his Stone Cold Stunner and Tyson came in for the three count and Austin's first WWE title win.

Wrestlemania XV: After losing the title, Austin would again come in as a challenger at Wrestlemania and go up against one of his newest rivals, The Rock. These two would have an instant classic battle and in the end, Austin was victorious at Wrestlemania again.
