03/06/08 More Interviews, Labor Ready, Men's Shelter New Benadict House Goals
Part 1
Change of tactics are needed.Yesterday's interview didn't work out. They are a woodworking company and they are afraid that once my better paying Marine Electrician job opens up again,i'll leave them. It was good though to get another formal interview under my belt.
I hate to say so but I have to start going back to Labor Ready work day work. They only pay minimum wage but that is better then no wage. I have to get something going since I am still unemployed and the State of Washington made me pay back 5,000 dollars for a dispute of my unemployment wages with Connecticut. At least I can earn money enough for gas that I can look for work after working at labor ready. And as long as I tell them a head of time that I have an interview they won't be upset about me missing days from work doing interviews.
The thing about Labor Ready is that since I have my truck and can get around, people that haven't transportation I can give them a ride. Two other guys can fit in my truck and I charge 5 or so bucks for gas, for each person, depending where the job is that Labor ready send us on. More money if it is further away.
SO I need to earn 35 dollars more to get my fee for getting my Apprenticeship papers from Connecticut for my Washington electrical license. 70 dollars for the reinstatement fee for my driver's license depending if the Department of Licensing allows me to get my license due to the other set of tickets from Pierce County. My lawyer said that the DOL should let me get my license now because the tickets are pending waiting for me to go to trail for those. I still have 200 dollars left to pay off the Kitsap county tickets, those are parking tickets when I used to park by Walter's house.
Did I tell you guys that a few of my other charges got dropped?
