Survivor Episode 5, Joel the Apeman Goes Home

Survivor Micronesia is the Survivor of Back Stabbing and Playing the Players!

Well, it's beginning to get serious for the fans. They are losing their big guns and don't even know what hit them. Cirie stepped up again this week and did in another supposedly strong player.

This would not have been possible without the team switch. Jeff called them together and had them pull marbles out of bags to establish the captains. Ozzie of the Faves and Natalie of the Fans became team captains and members were chosen playground fashion. Each succeeding member had to chose from the other team. This mixed up the teams pretty well with the exception that Joel the Apeman and Chet the gay guy both went to Ozzy's team.

Natalie's team won the food challenge but had to take the Fan's campsite and we already know how bad that sucks. They cooked steaks as the tide came in and put out their fire. The next morning the new members of this team from the Faves showed them how to locate a decent campsite and build a shelter. Which I guess they could have never done on their own.

Over at Ozzy's team they were showing off the campsite to the new members from the Fans and Amanda was catching a big honking Shark! In spite of losing the food challenge they feasted on the Shark and got themselves ready for the Immunity Challenge. The big boys, Ozzy and Joel, made a hit list with Chet at the top, then Tracy, then Cirie. Little did they know how far from reality they were.

During the Immunity Challenge when Joel was tied to Chet and they chased two members of the other team through a maze, Joel showed his displeasure with Chet by dragging him around like a sack of potatoes. They lost due to their inability to work together. Joel blamed Chet and Chet blamed Joel.

Back at camp Ozzy and Joel are pushing to vote off Chet. Then comes Cirie with the idea for Ozzy that this is the time to vote off Joel.

At tribal council Jeff asks his usual questions, which are always so good, cause he gets to see all the video and pretty much knows what's coming. So he questions both Joel and Chet about the challenge. Nothing has changed. The tribe votes, Joel goes, Cirie smiles.

These folks better wise up before too long, cause Cirie has serious game and serious skills in Micronesia.
