Favorite Birthday Party Favors: Easy and Cheap
Favorite Party Favors Are Cheap Party Favors
Everyone Loves Music
For a birthday party favor, hand out CDs with the music played at your party to your guests. This is a favorite favor because the party host is giving away music that was played at the party. It's memorable and more importantly, it isn't a gift someone is just going to set aside. They can actually use it!
This party favor is extremely inexpensive, given the fact that the cost of blank CDs has gone down a lot over the years. You can get a pack of 25 blank CDs for less than $15. Look around for bargains!
What you need to do is load songs onto your computer - if they aren't there already - and copy them to a blank CD. Depending on the amount of favors you make, this can become time consuming. So get started early!
This party favor is also great to use for weddings. At one wedding I attended, the couple gave CDs as party favors to their guests. The CD was full of love songs, including the song they used for their first dance as husband and wife.
If the budget is not a problem for you, give the birthday party favor an extra touch by adding a label to the CD. Buying a CD/DVD label kit can cost anywhere around $20. What's great about this is that you can reuse it even after making party favors.
Pictures and Mini-Movies on DVD
For this birthday party favor, you will need a computer with DVD-making capabilities, a digital camera that captures both still pictures and movies, and a lot of smiling faces.
Take a lot of pictures of you and your guests, even the cake, if you want, at the birthday party. Besides pictures, take some short clips of different things going on at your party - the funny dancer, people singing Happy Birthday, or... get creative! The more memory you, the longer you can capture the action. Afterwards, put your memory card in your computer or attach your camera with a USB cord. With the DVD program on your computer, load the movie clips and pictures. Make a DVD menu that separates your pictures from the movies. Add an appropriate title, mail them out to your party guests, and you're done!
