These are the days of my yesteryears.
My favorite memories of my paternal grandma when I was a young child. These memories of the past, how they go by so fast. As we are growing up, we don't stop to think of the things we need to be remembering. They will come to us one day, as we sit and ponder on the past. A smile will sneak across our face and a small chuckle will escape our lips. We may remember a smell or a certain look. I do remember the style my grandma had, it followed her everywhere. Because her style was on the inside as well as on the outside. The hats she would wear, her colors so bright. Her laughter always there along with a joyful heart. To lighten your mood when your life seemed to fall apart. That smile of hers was a wonderful thing, she made you feel good and took away all the pain. She'd play the piano and sing you a song, she'd ask you if you wanted to sing along.
To think I had gone so many years
without remembering my yesteryears.
