Simple College Safety Rules for College Girls

College is a big step for many students. For some, it is going to be the first time that they have been free of their parents for any length of time and for others it is the step in to adulthood that they have been yearning for. However, college campuses are becoming more and more dangerous with each passing year. Campus shootings, rapes, assaults and robberies are increasing and it is because a lot of students are not taking the simple precautions that could keep them out of the bad situations. Here are a few simple college safety rules that every college student should review before heading off to college. College is your first step to adulthood so that means that it is time for you to make a few adult decisions.

Perpetrators know that there are going to be a lot of young and beautiful girls on any college campus. Most of the sexual assaults on campus will most likely occur at parties by students or attendees. This is why campus safety is so important to learn, especially for women. All woman should know these safety tips before heading off to college:

-Do not take the student shortcuts that lead through woods and deserted areas if you are alone or at night. Stick to the sidewalks along populated roads or take a cab or bus.

- If you are going to be drinking alcohol, at least one person in your group should be sober. It will not be bad if you rotate turns at each party. One party Sara is the sober one and the next party Sara can drink because it is Lisa's turn.

- When going to parties, make sure that at least two people are together at one time. You don't have to be glued together but within sight is good.

-If someone is getting you a drink, go with them to watch them pour it. Once that drink is in your hand, it should not be put down until it is finished. Doing this will help ensure that a date rape drug is not slipped into your drink.
