My Associated Content Vs. EHow Experiment Part II
As Promised an Update to Help Provide You with an Unbiased Opinion on Both Sites
A short time ago, I published the article, My Associated Content Vs. Ehow.com Experiment: Which One Really Paid More?, in order to provide writers considering writing for either site, which one's page view bonus program was more lucrative. I did this for two reasons: first, IIn my previous article, I stated that 75% of my articles had not even earned a penny. Well, a month later, here are the new stats: Out of 24 posted articles, 9 have earned something; which equates to my every 3 out of 8 articles earning at least a nickel, for a grand total after a month to buy a few items from McDonalds' dollar menu and still have a few pennies left over (I don't want to say exactly how much I made in case it is against eHow's terms of service agreement.)
Now those same articles on AC have earned me over 3500 page views (total combined), and since we all know how much performance pay is, well, it still is enough for me to go to McDonald's. So based on this new finding what advice can I give? Submit to both articles to both places. Many people use AC, Helium, Triond, eHow and a host of other sites to help get their articles out to as many places as possible, in order to maximize revenue. Because my eHow articles have actually earned me something, in such a short amount of time, I am going to recommend this site for writers seeking an additional source of revenue. Grant it, most of my articles still haven't earned me a penny, but all it takes is that "magic" article or two to earn enough money to make payout.
I hoped this has helped to provide some more insight on my experiences with AC and eHow. I wanted to be fair and non-biased, which is why I wrote this follow-up article.
