Wandering Thoughts

Today it's been dreary and rainy. But fairly quiet so that is good.
Yesterday was bright and sunny. But chilly.

In a few weeks it will be summer time with more pretty days. As I think about the upcoming days I am reminded that my oldest son saw his last summer in 2006 he never saw the summer of 2007. Because he was killed. Some days it is very hard to even think about how he died.

There are others it is true who have died worse deaths and people die every day. Of one thing we are assured in this life and that is we will not make it out of this world alive. That is really a depressing thought if you dwell on that too long.

Because what it really means is all the hours, days, weeks, months, and years we spend here are spent just waiting on the fateful day when we will leave this world to go into eternity.

Now some believe that death is the end, the end of everything that makes you who you are. But not everyone believe this. Many more believe that there is something more, some believing in reincarnation some in some other dwelling place for the souls of men either heaven or hell.

What might you ask do I personally believe? I personally believe that one day all of us will live forever some place either in heaven or in hell. I don't believe in reincarnation nor do I believe we get a second chance after we die.

I also believe there are only two types of people in this world. Those who are on their way to heaven and those who are not. I believe there is only one way to heaven that being through Jesus Christ.

Whether or not I am right or wrong it is hard for the world to see as a whole in in this life. But if I am correct which I believe I am, having trusted in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour I will go to heaven. Where I will live eternally.

But if I am wrong and there is nothing after death, then what have I really lost. Many are working all their lives for something they can't keep. Buying things to impress people they may not even associate with much less like. Destroying the health they have just to make one more dollar that will go to someone else upon their death. To me it is pointless to not believe in something more than just this world we can see today.
