I sit and a thousand thoughts flutter through my mind
just mists and glimpses of things
that do not have the solidity to take root
to be thought of properly.

The air is chilly and surrounds me
I sneeze as my nose becomes colder
I pull my sweater tighter around me as I stare out the window
and see small snowflakes, born high above
waft earthward and delicately begin to cover the pine boughs
like a steady stream of celestial teardrops
being shed for their own expression of earthly pain.

The sky above is hiding
the blue which calms me is gone
covered completely by the stark white and gray of snow clouds
like the heaviness of my heart that hides my personality

I too am no longer sunny and bright
I am lost behind the tears and worries
the tears of gods fall with mine
but go unnoticed
for I can only see my own pain
my own failure
my own transgressions

The snow is deep now
covering my window sill
blanketing the ground
around my house
around me

How can something so cold
keep me so warm?

I'm not usually a poetry kind of guy (probably that whole macho thing) but I definitely find your stuff interesting. (Don't tell anyone though, I got a reputation to protect.)
