Worcester, MA, March 9, 2008 - This year St. Patrick's Day Parades in Massachusetts take place wicked (sorry, couldn't resist). The Worcester St. Partrick's Day Parade has been moved up so as not to interfere with any Easter holiday celebrations or religious events. The annual parade will be one of the first parades in the area, so you can start celebrating early.

When is it?

The Worcester St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at noon.

Where is it?

The parade takes place between Highland Street and Mill Street, on Park Avenue in the city of Worcester, Massachusetts, 01609. The parade route runs for two miles.

You can watch the parade on Park Avenue as the marchers make their way from Webster Square to Elm Park.

Entertainment

There will be 140 units marching through the annual Worcester St. Patrick's Day parade.

The Grand Marshal for this year's festivities is Grand Marshal Stephen P. Trainor.

Parade favorites, the Greater Worcester Police Emerald Society will also be making their way in the parade this year, via a float.

The Philidelphia Musican Mummers and the family organ concert . . . mmmmmm . . . I'd so love to be in audience for those performances, as well as The Bards - they are a fun band to hear.
