When you go into the shoe store, do you feel lost? Are you not sure what to get, what you need, or even what is in? Here are the top five shoes that you will need this year.

Black Patent Heels: Whether you are going to the office or just out to party, a black patent heel will do the job. They are the basic go to shoe for 99% of occasions. The reason why you want patent is because it is hot right now, but also because it has a more polished look. Feel free to pair a black patent heel with a dress, business suit, or just a pair of jeans.

Classic Flat: Flats have been around for a long time. However, with the population of the ballet flat, they became extremely popular among the younger crowd. Even now, flats are a great shoe to have on hand. A color in either black, brown, grey, navy, or white will go with a number of different outfits. Most flats look professional enough to wear to work. Also, since they are low to the ground, they can be foot friendly as well.

Boot: A fine leather or suede boot will stand the test of time. Look for boots that are in a solid color and can go with a lot of other outfits in your closet. These boots are best in the winter, but can also be great year round. Opting for a high heel or low heel is up to you.

A Fashionable Sneaker: While even some of the cutest tennis shoes are not acceptable for work, they are great for running around doing errands or even squeezing in a workout in your busy life. Find a good pair with arch support. Also, try to find a sneaker that is athletic friendly, but also cute so you do not generate strange glares for having a fashion faux pas in public. Please, please do not pair grungy sneakers with your nice clothes.
