Review: Target Translucent Task Chair

Recently, my daughter and I redecorated her bedroom as she had outgrown the Seseme Street theme I had in there before. Being a girl, she wanted to do it entirely in pink. We found a lot of great items at Target for her - one of them being Target's Translucent Task Chair. Since she is getting older, she needs a desk chair where she will be able to do her homework as she grows older. The chair cost $45 which makes it the perfect price and design for a child's room. The chair, however, is adult sized so anyone can use it.

The chair comes in blue, purple, orange, and PINK. Obviously we went with the pink. All of the colors are bright and vibrant. They are very prototypical of each color so they would blend with any other furniture you wanted to use them with. The pink chair blended in well with all of the other stuff we bought for the room.

Assembly for the chair was very easy. I had it together in about 20 minutes with no real problems. It is made out of heavy duty plastic with metal hardware holding it together. I am not sure if it would support a heavy person but it works great for my little girl. She loves how the chair spins all the way around and has 6 casters that roll easily even on the carpet.

The fabric on the back and seat feels tough and should stand up to quite a bit of use. The cushions are comfortable to sit on. The chair also adjusts up and down which is nice because my daughter will be able to change it as she grows.

One feature I do not like about this chair is that there are no arm rests. My daughter does not mind at all though so I guess it is a personal preference. I do not think I would be comfortable sitting in it all day at work but it works well as a homework chair that is only use for an hour or so a day.

My daughter is very happy with her new room. This chair is a great improvement over the old kitchen chair that used to be in her room. It was an affordable update that really helped to bring the room together. It comes in a variety of colors so it will fit into any children's décor or they can pick their favorite color!
