No birthday party would be complete without a few games to help break the ice. Whether your guests are children or adults having a few games up your sleeve is always a good idea to help keep the party moving along. Here I'll give a few easy game suggestions for all ages that won't break the bank and will keep your guests entertained.

For children's parties I've found that simple games that include everyone are the most successful. Here are a few of our favorite and cheapest children's birthday party games.

Treasure Hunt~ This one is always a big hit. It works well for groups because everyone has to work together the idea being finding the "hidden treasure" by following a series of clues. The treasure can be just about anything including the children's loot bags to take home. Just make sure the clues match the average age of the party guests. The younger the guests the simpler the clues.

Egg Race- Best done at an outdoor birthday party. Basically the guests have to run an obstacle course while holding a raw egg on a spoon. Best for kids ages 5 and up.

Water Balloon Toss~ Again an outdoor party game kids love this game and it is always a big hit. The hardest part is filling all the balloons before the party.

Limbo~ Great for all ages but works better for kids over age five all you need is a a large stick or broom and some music!

Mummy Wrap- Kids LOVE this game but they really love it if they can wrap an adult! Have someone sit in a chair give the kids rolls of toilet paper and let them loose.

Spin the Bottle (present opening)- Makes a game out of opening gifts it also makes it a bit less chaotic. Have the children sit in a circle and place a bottle in the middle to be spun, whomever it lands on the birthday child will open there gift.

Guessing Game - Before the party fill a jar with Mn M'S, Skittles or Jelly Beans (count them out) As each child comes in have them write down there name and guess on a piece of paper. The winner takes the jar home.

~For adults try word games or getting to know you games are always fun as are classic board games some ideas include.
