It’s time for ghosts and goblins! So all you ghouls and guys, check out these Halloween events in Lee County, Florida: Friendly Forest October 21 – October 22, 2006 Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium 3450 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers (239) 275-3435 www.calusanature.comLions and tigers and bears, oh my! It’s trick or treat time at the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium on Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers. On Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., children can meet real live Nature Center animals and friendly forest creatures along the nature trail.

There’s a special Halloween laser show in the planetarium. And this is no trick: come in costume if you want some treats. Admission to the center is $8for adults and $5 for children (ages 3-12). Admission to the planetarium show is $1per person. Halloween Express Mini Train October 16 – October 31, 2006 Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers (239) 432-2029 www.leeparks.org Take this train and you’ll be riding scared. Starting October 16 and running through October 31, the train winds its way through a spooky fall landscape of pumpkin patches, fogged tunnels, animated ghosts and even the Grim Reaper. Daily train rides start at 10 a.m. (noon on Sundays). Closing times are 1:45 p.m. weekdays, 3:45 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and nightly 7 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
