When a young boy receives a zombie as a gift from his mom, the two develop a friendship until Fido's collar goes haywire. The usual zombie mayhem ensures with the local neighbors while those who developed the collar attempt to control the malfunction. Two stars of the movie are Billy Connelly, who plays Fido the zombie to perfection and Tim Blake Nelson was engaging as the necrophilia neighbor who loves his zombie. This is a movie that reveals deeper messages to their viewers when it is watched for second or third time, something most movies in the genre fail to accomplish. Fido is defiantly a movie to add to your personal collection whether you are a fan of the horror genre or not.
