Auto Accident, How to Miss a Light Pole
A crazy driver, every town has a few without a doubt, and my little town is no exception, sometimes an auto accident can make you wonder what that driver was thinking. An auto accident is usually not funny as they can cause severe damage to autos, buildings and worse of all they can hurt
people seriously. However, those crazy drivers who have a silly auto accident where no damage is done to other autos, buildings and no one gets hurt are somewhat funny.
The story I am about to share comes from Sayre, Pennsylvania which is a short mile up the road from where I live in Athens, and I am betting this silly driver felt very stupid about what actually occurred. Apparently, as they are pulling into a parking spot at a local dollar store, they hit a light pole within the middle of the parking lot. The driver must have been distracted for some reason or another, because how could you not see a light pole directly in front of the auto.
My friend Kevin must have heard the auto accident from his nearby second floor apartment and glanced out his window to take the photograph. Can you imagine sitting in your apartment early on a Sunday morning and hearing a god-awful noise as when that light pole hit the blacktop parking lot? Luckily, this auto accident does not appear that any one was injured in this auto accident, and thank goodness, it occurred on a Sunday morning when most people were in church or sleeping on this sunny Sunday morning in early March.
The light pole, which is clearly visible lying in the parking lot, does not appear to have hit any autos at all. In the image, you see a Sayre Borough police officer walking up to a person leaning against a brown car in the row closest to the store. I wonder if this is the driver or perhaps just a witness to the auto accident that is something, which will no doubt come out in the paper tomorrow.
