Silk Wedding flowers are perfect for the casual or elegant bride, as she walks down the isle to her new married life. These silk wedding flower bouquets will last forever with proper care, and can in many situations be cheaper then 'real flowers'.

There are several benefits to using silk wedding flowers, they costs less then traditional bouquets and you can create your own quite bridal bouquets easily. These types of flowers also last longer then their real counterparts which means they will not wilt. Within this article, I am going to show you just how easily you can make your own bouquets for your special day.

How do you know which silk flowers to use? Well the most common flowers are lilies, roses, orchids, as well as daisies, which are mixed with greenery such as ivy and accented with babies breathe. You can find those silk wedding flowers in different colors to match your wedding or simply use all white flowers, with the greenery.

Items needed are several types of flowers in the colors of your wedding, some greenery, ribbon, floral tape, and optional beads are all, which is needed.

You can find silk wedding flowers in your local department store, but the cost conscience brides' to be can also find them at better dollar stores around the nation. You will also need a yard or so of white ribbon or a color to match your wedding per bridal bouquet.

When my friend Chrissie got married last year, she made her own silk wedding flower bridal bouquet and it was much easier then she thought it would be at first. She went into a local dollar store and got most of her flowers but also had to visit Wal-Mart to pick up the other flowers she though would be perfect.

She got several white flowers including two large white lilies, some baby's breathe and she choose a nice green ivy to top off her bouquet. Not all flowers were white, as you can see. She played with them, putting them in different shapes until she got the perfect look and then she used the floral tape to secure them into place.

I prefer the traditional fresh bouquets but these are very good ideas and worth a try, especially if the bride is on a budget. I am not too creative but lots of brides are and could really do a nice job.

I used silk flowers for my daughter's wedding bouquets, etc. but real for the church. She loved the bouquets because she could have exactly what she wanted.
