A million computer screens come to life. All eyes focus on you. It's your turn to show the world what you want them to see, and the world is waiting. We are all watching you now.

We dream of being known. We dream of the Hollywood life. Too many of us feel lost in the dark, and we're afraid that the world will never know us. But we want the world to know us, and we still try to make our dream become real.

And now the world will see you. The world will see what you want to show them, learn what you want them to know, and remember, at least for a short time, what they just witnessed. The world will know you.

YouTube has shattered the barrier between dreams and reality. It has granted access to the world. All our dreams, realized or not, will now have a way to be known. Our faces will light up a million computer screens, and all eyes will turn toward us.

All we need to do is show the world our videos. From wild and crazy stunts to musical performances and short films, the world has tuned in. We have become a star. We have become known.

YouTube has created a network, a community for us to join. It has set the stage for our videos, our hopes and our dreams. It has shined a light upon us, comforting us that we won't remain lost in the dark. This place has become our ticket to the world.

Thousands of viewers flood this website. Many seek outlets for their own expressions. Others hunger to discover videos that attract their attention. We are even given a backstage pass to videos of our favorite TV shows, movies and music.

The problem with a good thing is that others seek to abuse it. They could lower the curtain back down over us, keeping us in the dark and away from the eyes of the world. They could pull the plug and terminate any hopes of our dreams being seen. They could wipe our faces away, and all that would be remembered is what they had done, their videos, but YouTube still exists.

We still have our ticket to the world. We still have videos of our life. All that we wish to say will be heard. We will be seen, and we will be known. Welcome to the world.

Being a Sag, my arrow is pointed to the stars, and my bow is pulled back. I want the world to know me. I'm just trying to fire at the right targets to get the world to turn my way. Thank you both for commenting.

Very well written and completely honest. I am known for saying we are the result of our outcome. If we live thinking we won't be noticed, then we won't. However, I draw attention to myself as I love it and crave it as a Leo. If I don't get it I have learned to ask for it. That works the world over. Thank you a wonderful read.

As Tolkien writes in The Fellowship of the Ring, matie; "The wide world is all about you: you can fence yourself in, but you cannot forever fence it out." :o)
