Effectiveness

For the most part, Booth's Deep Cleansing Volcanic Mud Mask lives up to its product claims. The results do not last as long as other masks, including Clinique's Emergency Mask.

The volcanic mud did leave a feeling of deep cleansing.

As for skin absorbing "moisture more efficiently" personally I did not see a big difference after a couple of uses. This may be a benefit that comes over time.

The one claim that Booth's Deep Cleansing Volcanic Mud Mask did stand up to was minimizing pores. All face pores were minimized. The effect lasts for a day and half.

This is a great mask to use the day or night before an important event. Note: test it ahead of time to ensure you don't react to it, just to be on the safe side.

It contains the usual ingredients you find in skin care products including water, glycerin, iron oxide, silica, Saccharomyces silicon, Sodium PCA, urea, Trehalose, sodium Hyaluronate, Parfum, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum, Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Polysorbate 85, Diazolindyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbanate, Phenoxyethanol and DMDM Hydantoi.

It also contains a few types of clay, Kaolin (clay) Bentonite, and Canadian Mineral Clay.

Minerals include magnesium, copper, iron and zinc.
