Reese's Peanut Butter Egg for Easter Review

Easter Treats for You

You may be waiting for the Easter Bunny , but I am waiting for an Easter Basket filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. Why? This holiday Easter candy is far superior to little lowly jellybeans and sickly-sweet Cadbury Eggs.

Plus, there is no greater candy flavor combination than peanut butter and
 chocolate.

Taste

The peanut butter in Reese's is the tastiest candy peanut butter available. The flavor has not been altered for decades, and it still has that taste you may remember from childhood. The best part about this Easter treat is that they have more peanut butter than the traditional Reese's peanut butter cup.

Size Matters

One Reese's Peanut Butter Egg is 34 grams (Reese's package), whereas a regular Reese's Peanut Butter Egg is 25 and half grams (Reese's).

For anyone who likes the peanut butter as much as the chocolate, this is the Easter candy for you.

Texture

The chocolate texture of this Easter treat is smooth all around, and on the top, and on the bottom. There are no hard chocolate ridges, like on the traditional Reese's peanut butter cup.

The peanut butter is just as creamy and tasty, there is just more of it. The chocolate does not overwhelm the peanut butter, it complements it.

Nutrition

The reason this Easter treat only comes out once a year is because the country's obesity problem would be even worse if they didn't. Nobody can resist these big, rich eggs. They are meant as a treat, to be enjoyed in moderation.

One 1.2 ounce Reese's Peanut Butter Egg contains a whopping 180 calories. It also contains 11 grams of fat. Three point five of those grams of fat are the bad, saturated kind. Ease your guilt knowing that there is no Trans Fat in these Easter treats.

The Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs contains 150mg of sodium.

These Easter treats also have 18 grams of carbohydrates, with 16 grams of those carbohydrates coming from sugar. There is on tiny gram of fiber.

There are four grams of protein, so all is not lost. There are also four grams of iron and two grams of calcium.
