Berea is a small town in central Kentucky off of I-75 and it has to be one of the most friendliest places in America. It is home to Berea College, which is famous for being a free college. That's right, absolutely free, no tuition fees at all. However, it's not easy to get in and has one of the lowest acceptance rates of colleges in the country. Recently in a poll, Berea College was ranked the most sober college in the country. That may be because alcohol is not sold in Berea. It's one of the few dry towns left in the country.

Today, we live in a world that seems to have no more morals or values that were a part of life a few generations ago. If you watch the news, it is constantly filled with disgusting and heart wrenching crimes. And it seems that most people are so self absorbed and they really couldn't be bothered to lift a finger to help anyone unless something was in it for them.

Berea seems to be one of the few places left that still has friendly people, people who will help out complete strangers, values, and small town charm. I lived in Atlanta for a few years and moving to Berea was so strange at first, but in a very good way. After getting used to the general coldness of city people, being struck with such friendliness and small town charm was almost surreal, until I got used to it.
