Once upon a time there were three pugs; Chewey, Oliver and Mushu. Their tails were the furthest thing from straight, as a matter of fact, they were quite curly. The curlier their tails were the happier they were. If their tails were straight and pointing down that either means they were unhappy or just not feeling well, every pug lover knows that.

Chewy, Oliver and Mushu's mommy loved to give all three pugs treats. Everytime they came in from outdoors, they got a treat. Anytime they did a special trick they also got a treat. All three pugs looked forward to getting their treats throughout the day from their mommy.

One thing the pugs loved even more than their treats was human food, when mommy and the rest of the family would eat dinner, the pugs would always be right there waiting for a morsel of scrumptious food to drop, or for a child to secretly pass them something to eat. Sometimes the pugs would be bad and eat off of the family's dinner plates when they weren't looking. They would also get into the trash cans and other food and garbage that the family would leave out. They knew they weren't supposed to do this but they did it anyway, because one thing they loved the most in this world other than their mommy was food, it didn't't matter what kind of food it was; they would eat it, especially Chewey!

The golden rule mommy taught all of her children in the house was to never to leave food sitting out or to leave their dinner plates on the table, the pugs would find a way to get into it and they would eat it all.

It was the day before Easter and mommy had spent all day working hard at making several cherry pies for the gathering of the family dinner for the next day. She made 7 pies to be exact, the pies looked absolutely delicious and the aroma of her baking filled the house with a scrumptious, mouth watering scent.

Mommy was so busy that whole day that she forgot to give the pugs any kind of treat what so ever.

P.S. We had a dog do that with homemade apple strudel once, same bout of sickness and everything. I was so mad but...dogs..they are characters!

Is the straight tail a bit like Pinocchio's nose growing longer when he was bad or lied, lol? I had to share this one with my entire family and they all loved it as much as I did!

There's a lesson for everyone: if you feed them, they won't eat your cherry pies. This was really cute, and I hope Chewey learned a lesson. Well, the name says it all. =)
