Review: Isaac Mizrahi Stripe Shower Curtain

Shower curtains are one of the most important parts of bathroom décor because they cover the biggest block of space except for the walls. If you live in an apartment where you cannot paint the walls, a bright shower curtain can really liven up the room and give you a great place to start when choosing the color for rest of your accessories. I find fabric shower curtains to be warmer and more inviting than vinyl ones and tend to purchase these even though they cost a little more. I recently redid my bathroom and picked up the Isaac Mizrahi Stripe Shower Curtain for $21 from Target to get things started.

This shower curtain is made out of 100% cotton. The material is thick and soft which makes it hang nicely. I found the material to be a high quality. It has not grown any mold. I really like that the shower curtain is machine washable which is something I was always afraid to do with my vinyl curtains. It is easy to toss in the washer to freshen up your bathroom and get rid of the dust.

The colors in the shower curtain are light green, several shades of blue, and purple. They are darker than they appear in the picture on target.com so keep this in mind if you plan to order one. The colors are more suited to girls than boys even though they are in the cool range to remember this if you're purchasing it for your children.

I bought the Waverly Beaded Metal Shower Curtain Hooks from Target as well to go along with this curtain. The set comes with 12 silver hooks with decorative beaded accents around the edges. They look simple yet expensive at the same time. I like the way they would be able to go with any shower curtain I decide to purchase in the future. They are very simple to use. You simply slip the backs through the holes in the curtain and hang them over the curtain rod. There is nothing to clip together so they are very quick to use. The hooks are also chunky so they slide easily without getting stuck.
