When you walk into a store to buy a cure for acne you are in trouble. Which one to choose? You will be surprised how many products there are available these days. Now comes the great part of this article. You don't have to rely on these commercial, chemical based, products when there are natural alternatives, some of them centuries old. Besides that they are a lot cheaper they have less side effects, are better for your skin and work faster than the chemical based solutions at your local drugstore. They seem to be forgotten so let's revive them.

Remedies for acne based on natural ingredients can be classified in different strengths and types of ingredients used. They work quickly and are a lot less aggressive as most chemical products. So for a sensitive skin these are the remedies to try. It's no use to you if a cure for acne leaves you with a rash or a dry skin because your skin reacts bad on a chemical product. Let's look at one of those remedies. You can mix natural yogurt and fine oatmeal to a thick paste, apply that and leave it to dry. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat it dry. Depending on your skin type you can apply any antibiotic lotion.

How about this one. Apply a small amount of toothpaste on the pimples and just leave it on while you sleep. When washed off the next day your skin will be clean. So where's the trick? The toothpaste is drying out the oils in your skin and this will get rid of bacteria inside your skin which causes a pimple to develop.

Oils from plants like the tea tree, lavender, rosewood and clove can be used to clean your skin en help reduce acne. These oils must be diluted in creams or lotions because otherwise they would be too strong. Apple cider vinegar is also a great aid in your battle against acne. You must apply it to your face with a cotton ball and results can be expected within a few days.
