Product Review: Target Entryway Bench with Three Baskets/Cushions

Target's Entryway Bench with Three Baskets/Cushions is a great way to complete an entryway. This bench is a great way to help keep our entryway organized. Each member of my family now has a basket where they can store their shoes to keep them out of the way. The area looks so much neater and there is no more searching through everyone's shoes to find your own. There are no shoes lying around to trip over when you are in a hurry. I no longer need to worry about cleaning this area up before guests come over because it looks great all the time.

This great looking bench is made out of white solid MDF and plywood. The baskets are made of rubberwood. The bench is only open on one side so the baskets cannot slide out the back. The cushion on the top is about four inches of foam covered with a strong canvas material. They are not extremely comfortable but they work perfect for a quick place to sit down while you tie your shoes. The cushions are bright white so they can get dirty quickly if you are not careful.

The bench was easy to put together and ended up being very solid. I completely assembled it in about a half hour with no problems. Using a power screwdriver definitely made the process go faster - it was taking forever with a manual one.

The distressed look on the bench is very fake. It looks as though someone chose to randomly smear charcoal in a few places. I probably could have kicked it a few times with a muddy shoe and achieved the same effect. I decided to paint the entire unit plain white and it now looks much cleaner and fits better with the décor of our house. I suppose this is the risk you take when buying items based on a single picture on the internet.
