After moving into my first apartment, I needed an inexpensive, compact vacuum that would still do a great job of keeping the floors clean. I found the Dirt Devil Vibe Quick Vac M084500V from Target. This vacuum fit right into my price range at $45 and has served me well for almost a year now. The vacuum works on both carpet and hard floors so that I can clean my entire apartment floor with one product.

The vacuum also comes with a hose and attachment tools. All of this attaches right to the vacuum when not in use so I do not need extra room to store it. I use the attachments for vacuuming my furniture and getting rid of cobwebs. The machine switches very quickly from normal mode to using attachments so I am able to keep my cleaning time short.

The Quick Vac has a HEPA filter to filter out the allergens in the apartment. I have noticed a change in the air quality because my throat no longer feels sore when I wake up in the morning. The HEPA filter is designed to trap 100% of allergens so it would be great for people with pets and allergies.

There is a dirt cup on the bottom to empty out the vacuum. You simply need to unclip it and dump the dirt in the garbage. There is no need for bags to buy and empty which always makes a mess.

This vacuum weighs about 8 pounds so it is great when I need to pack it up in my car and move. The filters for this product are kind of hard to find. I have had to order them online because I cannot find them anywhere else. You may want to make sure that the place where you bought the vacuum sells the matching filters before you purchase one.

This vacuum probably will not last forever but it was all I could afford at the time. It has served me for a year and shows no signs of breaking down so hopefully it will get me through college before I need to purchase a new one. For the price, the vacuum picks up dirt as well as I would have expected it to. Sometimes I do need to go over the same area a couple times to pick everything up but it is not an issue. I find that emptying the dirt cup after every use makes it work better each time.
