Survey: What Are Obama, Clinton, and McCain Good For?

finds that people in the United States think that Clinton is good for dealing with healthcare, while McCain is preferred to handle the important issue of the war in Iraq and the fight of the United States against terrorism. Obama on the contrary is most favored to unify the United States (sound strange but the United States need to be united?)

AS you may know there is a growing concern among people of the Unites States that the country is heading towards a recession. The survey found that on this issue Clinton is thought to be the best option for 26% of the people while McCain is favored by 25%. Only 21% OF THE PEOPLE THINKS THAT Obama is the best candidate to handle the economy. When the survey is done on Democrats only the percentages changes dramatically: Clinton is preferred 48% while Obama 35%.

On the issue of Unity, Obama is the most preferred candidate (42%) while Clinton highest only 13% and McCain almost twice as Clinton (25%). On leadership only 16% picked Clinton while people believe that Obama would be the best leader for the United States (34%). McCain also gets a 34% on the leadership issue. Among democrats 55% % believe Obama will be the best leader while 27% believe Clinton would be.

The poll was conducted by Zogby International. It was conducted as telephone poll. More than 1000 people likely voters were interviewed. AN error of 3% is possible on this type of survey.

Almost half of the US people believe that the Iraq war would be best handled under a McCain presidency. Nearly half (23%) think they would prefer Obama. Only 18% believes Clinton can do it properly. ON the issue of terrorism, McCain is favored by the majority of the people surveyed (49%) while Obama gets a 215 preference and Clinton only 14%.

Obama (22%) and Clinton (16%) are nor seen as good candidates to handle the issue of immigration while McCain is seen as the best option (32%) on this issue.

Maybe we should have more than one president, and let each handle the affairs they are best suited to?
