When a lot of people start out in their home business they buy leads from someone. If you are a novice who is still finding your way and learning how to make progress then this is fine. However, there will come a point in time when purchasing your leads will become nothing more than an added burden.
This will become burdensome both financially and mentally. This is because most of the names that are on the leads list that you purchase will have already been hounded by tons of scam artists and bullies who have cornered these leads and forced them to purchase the product that they were selling. Thus, whenever you finally get the name of a lead from the list that you just purchased, you will find that the lead will not be open to even hearing about the product that you have to offer. Even if you have the best products or services on the market today the people on your leads list still will not be interested simply because they have been constantly pestered. This is because the list that you have just purchased has been overused. For this reason, it is very important to build your own list.

When people talk about list building they often use the phrase, “Your power is in your list.” This does not mean that you will have to have a huge list. What it does mean is that the more people that you are able to add to your list, the more people you are able to share your business opportunity and products with. Obviously this is a good thing because the more people that you are able to market to, the more potential there is for you to make money. Thus, as your list continues to grow, so does your profit margin and therefore you are able to reap gigantic rewards.

  • Your list is powerful because you are not sharing those leads with anybody else.
  • You shouldn't fear reaching out to the list you've created because these people are interested.
  • You will never feel confident using a list that you haven't personally created.
