#1 Exchange Program

On April Fool's Day tell your kid(s) that you are thinking of letting them participate in an exchange program and that you want their thoughts? However, there is a twist, they will not be going anyplace overseas like Paris, Spain, Ireland, or Japan. The exchange program takes place in the United States, children from small rural areas living without indoor plumbing, running water, and electricity will get a chance to live with a family who can afford those things. It will make them a better human being. To really sell this prank, have some pamphlets or an official looking letter on hand.

#2 Age Limit on Learning how To Drive has Dropped

The age limit now, 10 years old or your child(s) age. What is the reasoning behind this? Research has shown that kids who learn new skills at an earlier age are able to master them quicker, thereby lowering teen driving accidents by 50% percent. After expressing your outrage, reluctantly give in, saying, " I guess I should start teaching you to drive today. Not, April's Fool. "

Too funny - my kids would freak out over the last one LOL We did set their clocks ahead 4 hours while they slept but I'm afraid they are getting too old and wise to fall for much else. Of course the old "oh man, is that a pimple?" will work on teens any day of the week :-)

I love the exchange student idea! I'll have to get Mom and Grandpa in on this one to fool our ungrateful grandchildren! As for eating without utensils, they do that already whenever they can get away with it.....Maybe I'll tell them plates are off limits and let them figure that one out.
