Product Review: The SmartShopper Voice Activated Grocery List Organizer
The product comes with voice recognition software, a built in printer, paper rolls, and a wall mounting kit. I usually carry this product with me so I hardly ever use the wall mounting kit. It did attach easily to the wall however and feels sturdy enough to do its job. The included paper rolls last for a long time and replacements can be purchased quite cheaply.
The organizer runs on 4 AA batteries. I suggest you get some rechargeable ones so that you are not continuously purchasing new batteries as this would just be an added expense.
The voice recognition software works better than I expected it to. I have had trouble with the software on my cell phone in the past, having to say things repeatedly and very loudly in order for it to understand me. With this product, I can place it about six inches from my mouth and speak in a normal conversation voice and it understands me nearly every time.
I like that the product is able to save every item you enter into it and then print it out. The printout is much easier to use while in the store than trying to scroll through the organizer. The gadget can organize your grocery list by category which makes it very simple to walk through the store and pick up whatever you need. The printer uses thermal technology so it does not require ink.
I purchased this product because I am constantly forgetting what I need to get at the store. I never seem to have a pen and paper when I think of something and for some reason I always think I will just remember the item until I have paper available. I keep this organizer in my bag so it is always with me when I think of something new. I love how I do not come home from the store and realize that I have forgotten something anymore.
