About Harmony for the Soul: Harmony for the Soul is a recognized 501(c)(3) non- profit organization by the United States Government. Harmony is dedicated to raising funds for state and national charitable organizations and the spirit and generosity of singer/songwriter and season five American Idol winner Taylor Hicks inspired its creation. Harmony will be hosting the two-day event, May 9-10, 2008, in Birmingham, Alabama. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Kid One Transport www.kidone.org and the Alabama/Georgia chapters of Make-A-Wish Foundation www.ga-al.wish.org. Harmony's President, Candace Golden recently expressed her excitement over the upcoming event, "I am just so impressed on how everything is falling into place, the enthusiasium displayed by our members and the supportive reception we have been extended from the Soul Patrol nation-wide. We have received a positive response from many fans of the artists slated to perform at the event, and we couldn't be happier! Our objective is to bring the Soul Patrol together to celebrate the music, spirit and positive outlook on life displayed by Taylor as well as raise much needed funds for these two great charities that do wonderful work in the lives of children on a daily basis.

The schedule of events for May 9^th include: A Soul Patrol Convention for singer/songwriter and season five American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks, at the Doubletree Hotel Southside

11:00am - 4:00pm. A Convention dinner will be held at a location to be determined from 5:00-7:00 p.m. On the evening of the 9^th, from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., a silent auction, "A Night of Soul," will be held at the Workplay Theatre.

The schedule of events for May 10^th include: "A Soul Affair" music festival at Sloss Furnaces, featuring local and national bands/recording artists. The line-up is as follows:
