The facility has a strong focus on rehabilitating residents from traumatic brain injuries, heart attacks and strokes. The goal at Salem Place is to rehab patients to such a degree that they may return home. If a return to their homes are not possible, Salem Place Nursing and Rehab offers full medical support for long term residents. Occupational and physical therapy are available on site. Frequent activities include special music programs, shopping trips and visits to local attractions. Salem Place has an extensive program to reteach residents activities of daily living, such as dressing and bathing.
