Jeremiah Wright is the main man of water cooler talk today. It may just be my opinion, but I think that Barack Obama definitely does have a Jeremiah Wright problem.

I work in a large corporate environment. You will find blacks, whites, Democrats and Republicans, and you will find they all have one thing in common. They all think that in a world that is so focused on race issues, an individual as radical as this man does not shine a positive light on Barack Obama's quest to be the next President of the United States.

The Clinton camp and the McCain camp as well will use every sound bite they can get their hands on so that everyone can see and hear the teachings that Jeremiah Wright delivers to his congregation. Just hearing these words spew from the mouth of this man will make people wonder. And that is all it takes to change a vote; just being unsure about someone. Common consensus is that this country needs a President that is for ALL of the people. Not SOME of the people. We need to move forward as a country. Not backwards.

Barack Obama has been running a very strong race against Hillary Clinton. In voicing his bigoted opinion, Jeremiah Wright will cause many of Obama's supporters, red and yellow, black and white, to rethink their votes. A common question now is whether or not Barack Obama feels or thinks about white people the way that his pastor does. How could one not believe that he believes the words of his pastor - his teacher?

My father was a minister as well. I know from experience, that if a person does not like what the preacher has to say, they promptly find another church to go to. Water cooler comment today was that in light of this latest from Wright, people wonder as well about some of the remarks that Obama's wife has made.

Jeremiah Wright is without a doubt, an incredibly bigoted racist. Mr. Wright paints an evil picture of hatred against the white race. How does Jeremiah Wright, spewing so much hatred, NOT hurt Barack Obama? Several of my co-workers, white voters and black voters as well, have paused to rethink their opinions of who should be our country's next president.

Thanks for the comment jobythebay. I too think that Wright is a horrific man and truly hope that Obama does not harbor the same feelings of hate. I respect everyone's right to vote as they choose, and respect those that makes decisions, not on media or rumor, but on their own feelings, beliefs, and intuitions.

Hi, well I guess he did denounce the statements. Wright for sure is horrific but as a white, Jewish, woman I am still supporting Obama.

America government has always being anti black. Black people we should stay out of this election. Barack is a great candidate he when to white schools and was born to a white mother and they still try to deny him for bullshit reasons and want to call it democracy, its call white government democracy. No minority has a shot in HELL in the country. The white man has design this bogus democracy in 1776 they shut us out then and they will shut us out now. Obama made one of the most brilliant speeches of our lifetime and everybody just wants to cling to the remarks made by his reverend. The speech was pro-everybody. We need somebody whose pro-everybody in office. White people need to go back and actually listen to the speech and get a clue! All the negative things that you have to say about him relate to the remarks made by another man and his middle name, which he had no choice in having. The white people want to say I don't know Barack Obama but the man has self wrote 2 books

continued - I think she is working with the same mentality that Wright has. And don't tell me in all of the years of marriage that kind of talk has never come up in the Obama household. A certain figure in world history had their brainwashed followers, it is clear Wright has one with Michelle Obama.

Wright has issues with whites because somewhere in his past his family had major dealings with them and not in a good manner. Have you noticed how light he is compared to Obama who is half-white. Yep, I think Wright has some white in his line (family tree) and pehaps that white parent abandoned the black one, leaving someone in his line to grow up in poverty. I mean, that has to be the answer cause he is just about as white as me and I am white and hispanic, but look hispanic. And I agree with eyes wide open's comment about Michelle Obama. Would I honestly want that in the White House representing all American women? I mean, come on, you are for the first time proud in your life to be a part of this country, or something to that effect? So you weren't proud of the American government who gave you those student loans, or the American corporation who hired you for your first law job, or the Illinois people who helped get your husband to the senate? Give me a break. I think she is wor

Barack Obama has to distance himself from Wright if he's going to win the working-class white voters. This country desperately needs a leader who can bring all of us together: black, white, Latino, Asian, young, old, straight, gay, fat, thin. I have to agree with Bill Richardson, though when he said that media is making too big a deal out of this and the person that suffers the most is Obama. I really hope that his "true" fans will not desert him over this. He's apologized and moved on and now should all of us. Though older black and white votes are still feeling the stinging effects of racism, as a new millenium (sp?) activist, I see sizism as the next biggest issue.

Have you seen Obama's district? It looks like a war zone. If he can't help his neighborhood, how can he help a whole country?

own people are doing, we could try and stop it but people would say it was to control africas resources, So we sit and let it play itself out while hundreds of thousands of people DIE and are SLAUGHTERED, or just starve to death or die in the dessert fleeing the Negroes who are trying to kill them, we are the leading nation in this mess but I have to say it is enough now, we are going to have Iran next and country after country that believes life is cheap and even our own so why not kill each other off, in the name of some diety or other, or strong personal belief that is not shared by others in my country, But No One ever has been so blatant in speech as to say the goverment is conspiring through aids, or crack, to keep the black man down and not had my fury, the black man is still beating and killing it's own in every part of the world..

when you listen to the same retoric long enough you take that in and it becomes you, I would error on the side of caution and not vote for someone who has shown such error on Obama's part, I don't care what church you attend, when the issue of poor us black africans and godamn the uskkk of a is preached well I'm out of there and that Pastor will know why I left, if you want to see what Obama has done while senator go to his bio web site and compare votes v/s absent or non vote, and see what bills he has worked on himself, Anyone in this country is free to migrate back to their country of origan if they don't beleive in this country as we don't try to stop them, if you think this country is a bully then you don't understand history, we only bombed Japan to stop the war from causing thousands of our people to die on their soil, we fought the germans after it was discoverd they were trying to get us involved with a fight with mexico, we don't bully africa and look at the Genocide it's ow

Jeremiah Wright has the same problem that I do: speaking out. He's more famous than I am but when you speak out, you find out how horrible people really are. I have spoken out against the Iraq War, only to be accused of being anti-Semetic and spoken out about the fat hysteria in this country, only to find all of the articles that I have written about the Iraq War and about the fat hysteria to be blocked by the search engines. Fascism is upon us. Once information is suppressed on the Internet, we have officially reached dangerous times. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride! I just wonder how long it's going to take for Americans to wake up!

The question that I continu to popnder is: "How has Hillary Clinton been able to stay with Bill for over 30 years, knowing that he is a philandering, cheating male ____, who blatently lied to our country!" Hillary chose to stand by her man, despite the surly information that we all learned about him. Does this go to her judgement and credibility? We each have a right to decide the issues for ourselves, but I caution that in the frenzy for media ratings, 30 second sound bites have come to represent "news."

It changed my vote, that is for sure. I agree with Kim Linton. I am not ignorant...I heard what the pastor said.
