Victoria's Secret Lavish Laundry Detergent is Good for Occasional Use
Does the detergent have any staying power? Or is it destined for the clearance racks? Below are several categories that I used to rate Victoria's Secret lavish laundry detergent.
Packaging
At first glance Victoria's Secret lavish laundry detergent looks pretty similar to any other small bottle of laundry detergent. The detergent is packaged in a small pink jug. The jug is adorned with the standard black and pink Victoria's Secret label and alternating vertical stripes of light and dark pink.
The jug even has a silly little handle just in case you need to carry around with you.
Price
The price is one of the biggest downfalls for this product. 64 oz. of Victoria's Secret lavish laundry detergent will set you back $14 before taxes. In comparison, Tide laundry detergent generally retails at $7 for 100 oz.
Number of Loads
The 64-ounce bottle of Victoria's Secret lavish laundry detergent will clean roughly 21 normal loads of laundry. However, the bottle says that you may need to use more detergent for more heavily soiled loads.
We generally only use the Victoria's Secret detergent around our house for towels, sheets and other bedding items. Although, I have successfully used the product to clean t-shirts and jeans, it requires quite a bit more of the laundry detergent in order to get the clothes clean. This is definitely the kind of product you want to use sparingly.
Scent
Victoria's Secret lavish laundry does have a very pleasant scent, in small doses. I would describe the smell as a flowery, clean linen scent crossed with some of VS's more subtle perfumes. However, the smell can end up being slightly over powering if you use too much (also read as enough to clean a sweaty t-shirt). The smell does balance well with fabric softeners, and is very pleasant in small doses.
