I'm like most NFL fans, in that this time of year I'm checking for new mock drafts pretty much every single day. If you want the past mock drafts and more in depth analysis, please visit my NFL Mock Draft website here.

#1 Miami Dolphins: DE Chris Long. Dorsey has injury questions, the Dolphins have good running backs (when they can stay healthy) and QB Jon Beck's stock has been rising heavily with Parcells. They need a DE for a 3-4, and Long may be as "safe" a pick as there is in this draft.

#2 St. Louis Rams: OT Jake Long will be a very tempting choice here, but on a defensive line that already has DT La'Roi Glover, NT Adam Carriker, and DE Leonard Little, one more good DL might put them over the top, and Glover is old and better as a role player. DT Glen Dorsey is the pick here.

#3 Atlanta Falcons: If QB Matt Ryan falls here, it's a no brainer. Falcons fans, meet your franchise quarterback.

#4 Oakland Raiders: Either they move up for DE Chris Long, or they trade down with Dallas for several picks. If they can't do either, RB Darren McFadden looks like a likely pick here, which allows them to trade Lamont Jordan or Justin Fargas for more picks.

#5 Kansas City Chiefs: There are a lot of needs on defense, OT Jake Long is way too high a value to pass on at this point, though DE Vernon Gholston will be tempting.

#6 New York Jets: The Jets would love if Darren McFadden fell to them, but that's just not going to happen. The Jets need an edge rusher for the 3-4, so they pick DE Vernon Gholston to provide an immediate impact as a pass rusher.

#7 New England Patriots (from San Francisco 49ers): While they do have serious needs at LB, they need cover corners far worse. Their secondary was killed in the Super Bowl, and they lost two of their best three cover corners. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie of Tennessee State has blown scouts away, and is now the number one corner in the draft.

#8 Baltimore Ravens: While DT Sedrick Ellis is tempting, neither Kyle Boller nor Steve McNair is the answer here. The defense is good, but old, and filling in the defense doesn't make a play-off run anymore, so you need to start over on offense, and QB Brian Brohm can be that long term guy.

Takeaways
  • A new number one prediction for the Dolphins

Nice work, as a Chiefs fan I hope they do get a good lineman one on offense OR defense.
