Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's Pastor, Incites YouTube Video Frenzy

Reverend Wright's Statements Reference 9/11, Clinton Campaign

When ABC News purchased copies of sermons given at Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, they may not have known just what they would find. Quickly gaining attention across the nation are Reverend Jeremiah Wright's comments, delivered from the
Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's Pastor, Incites YouTube Video Frenzy
pulpit of Senator Barack Obama's long-time church.

In one 2003 sermon, commenting on the treatment of African-Americans in the United States, Wright says "the government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three strikes law and then wants us to sing 'God bless America,' No, no, no, not 'God bless America,' God damn America -- that's in the Bible, you're killing innocent people, God damn America for treating us citizens as less than human."

According to ABC, of 9/11, Reverend Wright goes on: "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

In the video, Jeremiah Wright goes on to comment on the Clinton campaign, seemingly compares Obama's story to that of Jesus Christ, and suggests that the U.S. government intentionally provides drugs to African-Americans in an attempt to imprison them, among other claims.

While the Obama campaign is likely unhappy with the attention this story has garnered, it appears as if the pastor's comments are gaining steam. In the past 24 hours, 41 copies of the Good Morning America segment have been posted to YouTube by members such as "CultureWar77" and "DemocratsHateUS." These 41 videos have received 205,486, an average of 5,011 per YouTube video.

To date, Senator Obama has distanced himself from Reverend Wright's incendiary comments. In response to Reverend Wright's comments on the 9/11 attacks, the New York Times quotes Senator Obama as stating that "the violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification."

I love my country, but I know this democratic nation began through revolutionary means, including wars, terrorism, and slowly but surely striving to become "A more perfect UNION". We are still growing, we'll always have differing opinions from our varied citizens, as is our RIGHT-The "Black" church has always been a place where people of color could vent their frustration regarding institutional racism, segregation, & injustice. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was jailed & eventually martyred for speackingout and organizing peaceful demonstrations which led to changes in our laws, & improved the quality of life for many people. Sadly, there are still those who feel they are entitled to be more equal than those who look or think different than them. Go back & read the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc.Open your eyes...we need to agree to disagree while remaining fair & just to all of our brothers & sisters.Just how far can King george Bush push us before we rise up & stop our own

I don't know that Americans are voting by skin color, but it's certainly true that Clinton fares worse against McCain in general election polls

Mrs. Hillary Clinton is being used by the Republicans to take votes away from Mr. Barack Obama. The truth is Mrs. Clinton would never beat Mr. John Mccain in a general election. I find it disturbing in 2008 that Americans still vote by skin color and gender and not by integrity. Both Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Mccain can not be trusted. Mr Barack Obama is the lesser evil of the three. He is far from perfect but he can be trusted as President of the United States! We need a government we can trust! We need real leadership! GO BARACK OBAMA 08!!!!

A woman in the office can do no more harm to us then any man that has been there, but the way things are now days, people really do need to stop an think about this, " Do we really need another man in the office, whether "white or black"?

You love to condemn a black man, I think that is "Predjudice". Rev. Wright need to speak up. If he have a problem with the United States tell it to the World. Don't just sit there and let Senator Obama get his reputation rude. Your sermon has anger a lot of people . Rev. Wright, this is your chance to Shine. You need to show your Senator that you do have a royal Respect, and love for this United States. Because Senator Obama must have royal Respect, and love for this Untied States to to try to be our President and make a Change. Senator Obama did Denounce Rev. Wright Out Burst, and you still won't forgive him? We need a Change. Senato Obama has the answer. I believe in him and throught him we will stop the War, and stand as ONE. We need to stop hating so much. God Bless America, We are All Created Equally. Good Luck Senato Obama. I'm on your side.

If any white candidate for any office or public position was connected as deeply to a similar purveyor of racism and bull***, there would be no demand for a explanation.....Just a virtual lynching.

His name is Wright, not White. And bamboozled... by whom, and for what reason? McCain actively SEEKS endorsements from those who claim that homosexuals and abortionists are responsible for 9/11 and Katrina.

G-d works in mysterious ways. Praise the Lord for bringing White's incendiary sermon to the forefront before the election. I feel bamboozled and hoodwinked.

Hillary doesn't have 35 years of experience. 35 years ago, she was fresh out of college. We all have that experience. She has 7 years of legislative experience and no executive experience. She was not privy to the President's daily briefings, she had no security clearance, no official policies or positions (besides her failed healthcare initiative).
